It was a quite a serendipitous and joyous moment when I came across this artwork at a local thrift store. Other than having a keen interest in typography and fonts, this piece of art also spoke to the writer, researcher, and scientist that I consider myself to be. Its message cannot be misinterpreted: keep a balance between the simple and complex.
This experimentation in fonts on canvas is signed by its artist Dan Wallace. After a quick Google search, it seems that the artist made 33 of them (the one we found was #26). How did this artwork make its way from Minnesota to Michigan and land in a thrift store only adds mystery to its elegant appeal.
